Metropolitan Transit Authority - Long Island Rail Road PTC

Atkins North America (ANA) supported Long Island Railroad (LIRR), the busiest commuter railroad in North America, in the development of the Long Island Rail Road Positive Train Control Safety Plan (PTCSP). Support included development, review, and revision of the PTCSP in accordance with the criteria set forth in 49 CFR Part 236.1015 as well as compliance with safety principles provided in 236 subpart I, Appendix B and C.

Additionally ANA provided Configuration Management Support, including revising and updating the LIRR Configuration Management Plan (CMP), including all workflows for maintaining accurate configuration statuses. ANA also supported the LIRR Configuration manager with quarterly and annual configuration audits, including the submission of audit reports consisting of findings and recommendations.
